OBSERVED → INFERRED → INTERPRETED → PREDICTED

Revelation Watch separates four different kinds of claims that are often collapsed into one.

OBSERVED records what can be directly established from evidence: an event occurred, a statement was made, an agreement was signed, a date arrived, a measurement changed.

INFERRED records what follows reasonably from those observations but is not itself directly observed.

INTERPRETED records the meaning assigned to those observations or inferences within a Scriptural framework.

PREDICTED records a claim about what may happen next.

These categories are not interchangeable.

An interpretation does not become an observation because it is persuasive. An inference does not become a fact because multiple people repeat it. A prediction does not become stronger because the date is approaching.

Every material claim should remain visibly attached to the epistemic level at which it was actually made.
